A Humble Beginning
It all started in 2005 at Siemens. Marijan submitted a travel expense form so wildly incomplete it made Swiss cheese look airtight. Zvonimir, the finance manager at the time, deadpanned:
"This is the sloppiest expense report I've ever seen. You should be fired."
A beautiful partnership was born.
From Siemens to Startup Leadership
Fast-forward to 2020. Marijan brought Zvonimir on board as CFO at Amodo. Together, they navigated the chaos of startup scaling:
- Marijan led product positioning and market expansion.
- Zvonimir tracked every cent, built financial systems, and kept the wheels turning.
The result? A successful exit—and the realization that GTM (go-to-market) strategy was still an unsolved mess.
The Birth of Strives.ai
Like everyone else, they fought through the GTM trenches—endless pivots, fuzzy ICPs, decks that changed weekly, and the occasional pitch practice to the household pet. Then came the question:
"What if AI could just do this for everyone?"
Strives.ai was born in 2025: A multi-agent AI platform using Retrieval‑Augmented Generation to turn strategic chaos into clear, personalized, and executable insights.

Marijan Mumdžiev
Founder, CEO
Marijan Mumdžiev is a seasoned tech entrepreneur and insurtech strategist, currently serving as CEO of Strives.ai, a multi-agent AI platform set to launch in October 2025. He previously led European operations at Cambridge Mobile Telematics, where he drove AI-powered telematics innovation across the insurance industry. As founder and former CEO of Amodo, a pioneering usage-based insurance platform, Marijan raised over $8 million in funding and secured partnerships with global brands such as AIG and Porsche. Under his leadership, Amodo was named by the Financial Times as one of the most innovative insurtech initiatives globally, and was ultimately acquired by a global industry leader based in the U.S. Marijan studied at the University of Vienna, NYU Stern School of Business, and the Carlson School of Management in Minnesota. He actively contributes to the global startup ecosystem as a mentor and advisor to Silicon Valley startups through the Alchemist Accelerator, and is a member of the Croatian Business Angels Network. He is also a frequent speaker at international conferences on AI, insurtech, and emerging technologies.
Zvonimir Oreč
Co-Founder, CTO
Zvonimir Orec is a seasoned executive at the intersection of technology and finance, with over 22 years at Siemens. He began as a developer and IT consultant in the banking sector and rose to become CFO of Siemens Convergence Creators Croatia, where he led finance, operations, and governance, and played a key role as M&A lead in the successful sale of the business unit. At Siemens, he pioneered roles across tech, management, and finance, driving post-merger integrations and business transformation. He later served as CFO and Board Member at Amodo, steering operations through international growth and a strategic acquisition by a global industry player. Zvonimir holds degrees from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and a postgraduate degree in Accounting and Finance from the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb. He brings a rare blend of operational depth and technical fluency to both startups and enterprise environments. Today, he is co-founder of Strives.ai, a multi-agent AI platform automating strategic planning and execution. His career summed up: “22 years at Siemens laid the groundwork. Amodo sharpened it. Strives.ai is where it all comes together.”
